2026 Aprilia SR GT 400

The SR GT 400 marks Aprilia’s entry into the midsize GT scooter segment. The 399 cc single produces 36 hp and reaches 139 km/h — a clear advantage in a segment where scooters rarely exceed 125 km/h. The 41 mm upside-down fork with 120 mm of travel, 190 mm ground clearance, and Mitas enduro tires allow use on gravel surfaces. Standard equipment includes a TFT display, keyless system, traction control, and underseat storage. The target group is riders over 30 who prioritize range and versatility over compactness.

The weaknesses are manageable: 186 kg weight and an 820 mm seat height require a certain level of physical confidence. Shorter riders may struggle when stopping. For urban riders without out-of-town use, the nearly €7,000 price is difficult to justify.

Three direct competitors: The Honda Forza 350 offers more storage and a lower seat height, but significantly less ground clearance and no off-road capability. The Yamaha XMAX 300 is more practical and cheaper, but noticeably weaker at 28 hp. The SYM Cruisym 400 will enter 2026 with 34 hp and 37 Nm at a similar performance level — but without traction control or an adventure-style chassis.
