2026 Benelli Imperiale 400

The new Imperiale 400 is built for riders who prefer simplicity and analog riding: upright seating position, relaxed rhythm, and strong old-school styling. The air-cooled single-cylinder delivers smooth throttle response, builds torque early, and remains deliberately unexciting — ideal for city riding, country roads, and leisurely cruising. In corners, it feels predictable and stable, while the brakes are easy to modulate and match the relaxed character.

Direct competitors include Royal Enfield Classic 350, Jawa 350 OHC, and Mash Five Hundred 400. The Royal Enfield offers more heritage but less performance. The Jawa feels more mechanical and purist but less modern. The Mash is attractively priced and lightweight but feels simpler in finish.

Within the Benelli retro lineup, the Imperiale is the most traditional model.
