2026 BMW C 400 X
The sportier sibling of the GT — more compact, more agile, with variable storage
Price: €7,800 + additional costs
The C 400 X occupies the same midsize segment as the GT but focuses on different priorities. It uses the same 350 cc single-cylinder with 34 hp and 35 Nm, but features sportier ergonomics and a shorter windscreen. Standard equipment includes the Flexcase under the seat — a variable storage system that expands to helmet size when parked. Cornering ABS, traction control, engine drag torque control, keyless ride, and TFT display are standard. The target group consists of urban riders up to age 40 who prioritize dynamics over comfort.
Compared to the GT, weaknesses include less weather protection, no adjustable windscreen, and reduced touring comfort. Riders who regularly cover longer distances are better served by the GT.
Three alternatives in the segment: The Yamaha XMAX 300 is cheaper with similar everyday usability, but less electronics. The Honda Forza 350 offers more storage at a lower price. The Aprilia SR GT 400 delivers 36 hp at a significantly lower entry price, but without BMW brand prestige.
