2026 BMW CE 02

With the CE 02, BMW has created a category between electric scooter and urban motorcycle. The 11 kW version delivers 15 hp peak, accelerates up to 95 km/h, and provides instant torque from a standstill. Two removable lithium-ion battery packs deliver 3.92 kWh. Charging takes around five hours from a household outlet, or 3.5 hours with the optional fast charger. Standard features include keyless start, TFT display, and two riding modes.

The 90 km rated range drops to around 70–80 km in real-world use — the CE 02 remains a purely urban vehicle. Storage is nonexistent, there is no step-through design, and fast charging and Flash mode are optional extras. The bike targets A1 or B196 riders who prioritize distinctive design and electric riding experience over practicality.

Three alternatives are worth considering: The NIU NQiX offers more range and removable batteries at a significantly lower price, but without BMW’s premium feel. The Silence S01 combines removable batteries with strong connectivity, but has a limited service network. The Honda CUV e: offers two removable batteries and classic scooter comfort with a more conservative design.
