2026 BMW CE 04

The CE 04 is BMW’s flagship electric scooter. With 42 hp and 62 Nm from 1,500 rpm, it accelerates up to 120 km/h. The 8.5 kWh battery is fixed in the floor and charges in around 4.5 hours as standard, or just under two hours with the optional fast charger. The 130 km rated range covers typical commuting distances. Equipment includes a 10.25-inch TFT display, keyless ride, and BMW Connectivity.

The battery is not removable — charging requires a power source at the parking location. At 231 kg, maneuvering can be challenging. Strong regenerative braking requires adaptation, and cruise control is not included. With fast charging and heated seat, the price exceeds €14,000. The model targets commuters who prioritize performance and build quality over charging flexibility.

In comparison: The Silence S01 Plus offers removable batteries at a significantly lower price, but delivers less performance. The NIU NQiX provides strong connectivity and a lower entry price but does not match BMW’s build quality. The BMW CE 02 is the lighter, less powerful sibling model for riders with lower performance requirements.
