2026 BMW R 12 nineT

The R 12 nineT is the more performance-oriented heritage BMW: classic styling with stronger power and precision than the look might suggest. The air/oil-cooled 1,170 cc boxer responds immediately, delivers strong midrange torque, and feels mechanically engaging. The adjustable USD fork allows precise steering, stable cornering, and strong braking performance.

Direct competitors include the Triumph Speed Twin 1200, Ducati Monster, and Moto Guzzi V7 Sport. The Triumph is more powerful but lacks shaft drive. The Ducati is lighter and more agile but less classic. The Guzzi offers character but less performance.

Within the BMW heritage lineup, the R 12 nineT is the more dynamic alternative to the relaxed R 12.
