2026 BMW R 1300 RS

The newly introduced R 1300 RS bridges the gap between dynamic road riding and long-distance touring. The 1,300 cc boxer engine delivers strong midrange torque, responds cleanly, and carries the bike effortlessly over long distances. Despite its size, it offers precise handling, stable braking performance, and excellent composure at speed — exactly what is needed for highway riding and fast cornering.

Compared to the Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX or Ducati Supersport 950, the BMW offers less outright sportiness but compensates with a low-maintenance shaft drive and strong torque characteristics.

Compared to crossover bikes like the Yamaha Tracer 9 GT, the RS is more sporty and lower, but lacks the upright ergonomics. Its strength lies in versatility as a sport-touring machine, while weight and price are its main drawbacks.
