2026 Brixton Cromwell 1200 X

The Cromwell 1200 X is a classic bike for riders who want retro styling without giving up modern features. The liquid-cooled 1,222 cc twin responds cleanly, delivers strong midrange torque, and remains easy to control. With cruise control, traction control, ride-by-wire, and two riding modes, it feels surprisingly stress-free in everyday use, while the KYB suspension and spoked wheels maintain composure on rough backroads.

Direct competitors include the Triumph Bonneville T120, Kawasaki Z900RS, and Moto Guzzi V7 Sport. The Triumph feels more classic and touring-oriented but is more expensive. The Kawasaki is sportier and more powerful but less “adventure classic” in concept. The Guzzi offers shaft-drive character but significantly less performance.

Within the lineup, the 1200 X is the more rugged, road-and-backroad-oriented version of the Cromwell 1200.
