2026 Can-Am Pulse

The Pulse is the naked-bike counterpart to the Origin and shares its Rotax electric drivetrain: 48 hp peak, 72 Nm from a standstill, and a top speed of 129 km/h. At 177 kg and 784 mm seat height, it is more accessible than most competitors. The 8.9 kWh battery charges from 20 to 80 percent in 50 minutes on Level 2. Active regenerative braking via reverse throttle input enables near brake-free riding. Standard equipment includes a 10.25-inch TFT with Apple CarPlay, four riding modes, traction control, and ABS.

The battery is not removable. The WMTC range of 130 km drops noticeably on highways; the Pulse is clearly designed for city and backroad use. The Can-Am service network in Germany is still developing. Target riders are A2 and B196 license holders looking for a lightweight electric naked bike with dynamic riding characteristics.

In comparison: The Zero S has an established service network but falls behind in performance and electronics. The BMW CE 04 offers more battery capacity and better infrastructure but rides as a scooter. The Zero SR provides more battery capacity and range, costs more, and delivers less peak power.
