Review Harley-Davidson CVO Street Glide ST (2026)

128 hp, Batwing, Track+—All-New to the ST Lineup

The CVO Street Glide ST is new for 2026 and brings the Batwing fairing into the performance-focused ST world for the first time: Milwaukee-Eight 121 High Output with 128 hp, 193 Nm, and no VVT, SHOWA USD fork with DLC-coated bushings, rear shocks with external reservoirs, floating brake discs, eight riding modes including Track and Track+, Forged Carbon details, and titanium mufflers. 370 kg ready to ride. From €50,150 plus €560. Identical price to the CVO Road Glide ST—the difference is Batwing instead of Sharknose.

As of: July 17, 2026 | Model: Harley-Davidson CVO Street Glide ST (FLHXSTSE; 2026; all-new; Milwaukee-Eight 121 HO; Performance Touring; full motorcycle license required) | Manufacturer: Harley-Davidson Motor Company, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA | Price in Germany: from €50,150 plus €560 transportation/setup; total price approx. €50,710 | Stationary noise: not published | Warranty: 4 years

The CVO Road Glide ST has been around since 2024. The CVO Street Glide ST arrives for 2026. That is the simplest way to explain what is new. Both motorcycles are technically identical: Milwaukee-Eight 121 High Output, SHOWA suspension, floating brake discs, eight riding modes, Forged Carbon, titanium exhaust. What separates them is the fairing philosophy. The Road Glide has the Sharknose—mounted rigidly to the frame and remaining stationary when the handlebar turns. The Street Glide has the Batwing—mounted to the fork and turning with it.

Harley-Davidson Austria: “A new chapter in CVO history. The CVO Street Glide ST takes the Batwing bagger into previously unknown territory.” Harleysite.de is more specific: “It is one of the most powerful production baggers Harley-Davidson has ever built.” Correct. 128 hp from a 1,923 cc V-twin in a touring motorcycle is the maximum Harley-Davidson offers in 2026.

Batwing vs. Sharknose: The Only Buying Decision

Anyone choosing between the CVO Street Glide ST and CVO Road Glide ST is choosing between two fairing philosophies. The Batwing on the Street Glide is mounted to the fork, moves with the handlebar, and provides a more direct connection to steering input. Historically, it is the older fairing design and has been the face of the Street Glide line for decades.

The Sharknose on the Road Glide is mounted rigidly to the frame. It remains stationary regardless of steering angle and provides a more stable windscreen experience at higher speeds. Both have their supporters. In practice, the choice is more a matter of belief than a technical decision.

Thunderbike’s detailed description of the Street Glide ST fork identifies an adjustable upside-down front fork with DLC-coated bushings. DLC stands for Diamond-Like Carbon, a surface coating that reduces friction and increases service life. That is the detail that separates it from the Road Glide ST, which also uses SHOWA suspension but without the DLC coating. A small but technically worthwhile distinction.

Milwaukee-Eight 121 HO: Identical to the Road Glide ST

1,923 cc. 45-degree V-twin. Air- and oil-cooled. No VVT. High-performance camshaft. Heavy Breather air cleaner. 5,900 rpm rev limit. 128 hp (94 kW) at 5,020 rpm. 193 Nm at 3,750 rpm.

The titanium mufflers are finished in black powder coating and feature Forged Carbon end caps. This is identical to the CVO Road Glide ST. No difference. If you know that engine, you know what you are getting: the same character, the same performance, the same sound.

SHOWA Suspension, Floating Brake Discs, Eight Riding Modes

Up front is a fully adjustable SHOWA USD fork with DLC-coated bushings. At the rear are fully adjustable SHOWA twin shocks with external reservoirs.

Floating high-performance front brake discs come standard. There are eight riding modes: Road, Rain, Sport, Track, Track+, and three Custom modes. This suspension and electronics package is what separates the ST line from every other CVO model. And it is identical between the Street Glide ST and Road Glide ST.

370 kg, Identical Price to the Road Glide ST

370 kg ready to ride. The Road Glide ST weighs approximately 380 kg, making the Street Glide ST 10 kg lighter. That is the only measurable weight difference between the two ST models.

From €50,150 plus €560: exactly the same price as the CVO Road Glide ST. For the same money, you get a technically identical motorcycle with a different fairing philosophy.

The buying decision comes down entirely to Batwing versus Sharknose preference.

Verdict

The 2026 Harley-Davidson CVO Street Glide ST is the Batwing alternative to the CVO Road Glide ST: technically identical, same price, 10 kg lighter, different fairing philosophy.

128 hp, 193 Nm, SHOWA suspension, floating brake discs, DLC fork, eight riding modes including Track+, Forged Carbon, titanium exhaust, four-year warranty. €50,150 plus €560.

If you love Batwing: Street Glide ST. If you love Sharknose: Road Glide ST.
