2026 Indian Sport Chief RT

The new Sport Chief RT is based on the Chief platform with the air-cooled Thunderstroke 116 engine but places greater emphasis on suspension, braking, and ergonomics. It features a KYB fork, fully adjustable piggyback shocks, dual Brembo front brakes, and a 4-inch Ride Command display. Lockable hard cases with over 37 liters of storage and a new seat enhance its touring capability.

Direct competitors include the Harley-Davidson Low Rider ST, BMW R 18 Roctane, and Indian Super Chief Limited. The Harley focuses on performance but offers less comfort, the BMW delivers more displacement but less sporty chassis setup, and the Super Chief Limited emphasizes classic touring rather than performance.

Within the Indian lineup, it shifts the focus from traditional touring comfort toward chassis performance and road precision.
