2026 Italjet Dragster 459 Twin

This is not a scooter in the traditional sense — it’s a naked bike with an automatic transmission. The liquid-cooled 449 cc twin-cylinder produces 48 hp, putting it right at the A2 limit.

A trellis frame, fully adjustable Marzocchi suspension, Brembo brakes, and an Akrapovič exhaust set new benchmarks. The SmartShift transmission can operate fully automatic or via handlebar paddles, without a traditional CVT belt. The patented ISAS system allows continuous adjustment of rear-wheel stiffness.

What’s missing: storage. The riding position is uncompromisingly sporty. At 194 kg fully fueled, the 459 is not lightweight. The tall 815 mm seat height limits accessibility for shorter riders. Anyone looking for a comfortable urban scooter is looking in the wrong place.

Alternatives? Aprilia SR GT 400, Honda Forza 350, and BMW C 400 GT are more comfortable, but far less aggressive. Riders wanting motorcycle feel combined with automatic convenience will find no comparable option under €10,000 in 2026.
