2026 Italjet Roadster 400

At EICMA 2025, Italjet introduced a completely new concept. The Roadster 400 carries Dragster DNA — exposed trellis frame, hub-center steering, Öhlins suspension front and rear — but wrapped in a neo-classical retro design instead of superbike styling.

The 394 cc single delivers a strong 41.5 hp and 41 Nm. Braking is handled by three Nissin discs. The patented DLAS front-end system fully separates steering and suspension forces. A TFT display, traction control, heated grips, and Akrapovič exhaust come standard. At 151 kg, it is one of the lightest 400 cc scooters available.

Storage is, as expected, nonexistent, and the dealer network remains limited. Whether the unconventional steering system proves practical in everyday use remains to be seen.

In the 400 class, Honda Forza 350, Aprilia SR GT 400, and BMW C 400 GT are the obvious alternatives — all more practical, but none remotely as extravagant. Riders who want a scooter that turns heads and delivers uncompromising engineering simply have no other choice.
