2026 KTM 390 Duke

The 390 Duke remains the sportiest approach in the A2 segment and targets riders who prefer a light, precise motorcycle over displacement comfort. The 45 hp single-cylinder responds instantly, revs eagerly, and perfectly matches the very neutral turn-in behavior. On twisty roads, the KTM impresses with strong braking stability and clear feedback, making a fast pace easy to maintain.

Compared to the Kawasaki Z 500 or Honda CB 500, it feels more agile and dynamic but offers less refinement and long-distance comfort. A Triumph Speed 400 is cheaper and more comfortable but clearly falls behind the KTM in chassis, brakes, and outright performance.

Weaknesses of the Duke are seat comfort and wind protection. Its strength is the razor-sharp overall package for ambitious backroad riders.
