2026 KTM 890 Adventure R

The 890 Adventure R remains KTM’s sharpest midrange travel enduro for riders who treat off-road riding not as an option, but as their natural habitat. The 889 cc parallel twin delivers 105 hp and 100 Nm, pushing strongly from the midrange, responding instantly to throttle input, and remaining well-controlled even over longer stages.

On asphalt, the R feels precise and stable despite its 21/18-inch wheel setup, while off-road the fully adjustable WP XPLOR suspension with 240 mm of travel shows its true strength. The high seat height and firm setup, however, demand experience and physical input from the rider.

Compared to the 790 Adventure, the 890 R offers more displacement, more power, and significantly more suspension travel. Against the Husqvarna Norden 901, the KTM feels more aggressive and uncompromising, while the Norden is clearly more comfort-oriented. The Norden 901 Expedition comes closer with its long-travel suspension but still remains more touring-focused.
