2026 Kymco Xciting VS 400i

The Xciting VS 400i is the sportiest scooter in Kymco’s lineup below the AK 575. With 34 hp and 38 Nm, it ranks among the most powerful 400 cc scooters in the segment. Dual front brake discs with four-piston calipers, traction control, keyless system, and full LED lighting are standard.

At 195 kg fully fueled and with an 805 mm seat height, the Xciting VS excludes smaller riders. Suspension feels firm on poor road surfaces. Smartphone connectivity is missing — the cheaper Xciting S 400i offers Noodoe navigation as an advantage. The short 5,000 km service interval increases running costs.

Three alternatives in the segment: The BMW C 400 GT is positioned significantly higher in price, but offers superior finish and connectivity. The Honda Forza 350 is cheaper and more comfortable, with a broader dealer network. The Yamaha XMAX 300 has less displacement but offers smartphone connectivity and more agile handling.
