Review LiveWire S2 Mulholland (2026)

Electric Performance Cruiser on the Arrow Platform, 84 hp, Bio and Recycled Body Materials—for EUR 12,290

LiveWire’s Arrow platform uses a structural 10.5 kWh battery. Output is 84 hp, with 263 Nm available from zero rpm. Ready-to-ride weight is 196 kg. The Mulholland runs a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel with Dunlop Sportmax Roadsmart IV tires. A Showa USD fork provides 135 mm of travel, while the adjustable monoshock offers 100 mm. Brembo brakes, C-ABS, C-TCS, and DSCS are standard. A 6-inch handlebar riser creates an upright cruiser riding position, with bar-end mirrors completing the look. Maximum lean angles are 55 degrees left and 50 degrees right. Seat height is 805 mm. The seat uses silicone biomaterial; Lunar White fenders are made from CAP hemp biocomposite, while body panels use ocean-recycled nylon. MY2026 price: EUR 12,290, down from EUR 19,427 in 2025.

EUR 19,427 to EUR 12,290: A 37 Percent Price Cut—and a 1000PS Award as the Best Electric Motorcycle of 2025

The S2 Mulholland was introduced in Germany in February 2025 at EUR 19,427. For MY2026, the price falls to EUR 12,290—a reduction of EUR 7,137, or 37 percent. That puts it level with the S2 Del Mar and EUR 990 below the S2 Alpinista. LiveWire’s 2026 Mama Tried announcement covered the entire S2 family: Del Mar and Mulholland at EUR 12,290, Alpinista at EUR 13,280.

Alongside the price cut comes external validation of the motorcycle itself. 1000PS awarded the S2 Mulholland its 2025 Top Award as the best electric motorcycle of the year, citing the strong electric powertrain, immediate torque, efficient regeneration, compact and agile handling, high-quality finish, and comprehensive standard equipment.

Concept: Performance Cruiser—What Separates the Mulholland From Del Mar and Alpinista

All three S2 models share the same powertrain, battery, and electronics. Their personalities are defined by geometry, wheel sizes, and ergonomics. The S2 Del Mar is the sporting flat-track interpretation with 19-inch wheels and a steep 66-degree steering-head angle. The S2 Alpinista is the all-rounder with 17-inch road wheels and a focused upright riding position. The S2 Mulholland looks toward the cruiser segment: a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel, a more relaxed 61-degree steering-head angle, a 6-inch handlebar riser for an upright posture, and bar-end mirrors instead of conventional stalks. The silhouette recalls an electric Sportster.

The exposed brake lines and cable runs are not assembly oversights but deliberate styling elements. LiveWire treats the technical reality of the electric motorcycle as part of the visual design. The Mulholland’s slim profile makes filtering through city traffic easier, while the more relaxed steering geometry produces calmer, less twitchy steering than the agile and direct Del Mar.

Sustainability: Silicone Seat, Ocean Nylon, Hemp Biocomposite—the First LiveWire With Green Materials

The S2 Mulholland is the first motorcycle in LiveWire’s range to use sustainable materials at major rider-contact and bodywork points. The seat is made from silicone biomaterial instead of leather or vinyl, making it both vegan and intended as a more durable alternative to conventional synthetic leather. In Lunar White, the fenders are made from CAP hemp biocomposite and use an unpainted white finish, avoiding conventional paint. Body panels and internal cable carriers use ocean nylon made from globally recovered fishing nets and processed as HYLON® OZEAN raw material.

These material choices are substantive rather than purely symbolic. Ocean nylon repurposes plastic waste recovered from marine environments, CAP hemp is a plant-based composite material, and the silicone seat covering is designed for durability. Lunar White is therefore the version with the strongest sustainability emphasis. The other two finishes—Liquid Black/Red and Liquid Black/Black—use conventional paint.

Geometry, Suspension and Tires: More Relaxed Than the Del Mar, Not Softer

The Mulholland chassis differs from the Del Mar and Alpinista in two important ways. First, the steering-head angle is 61 degrees rather than the Del Mar’s 66 degrees. The more relaxed geometry increases steering inertia and straight-line stability while producing the calmer turn-in expected of a cruiser. Second, rear suspension travel is only 100 mm rather than the 120 mm offered by Del Mar and Alpinista. The Showa USD fork provides 135 mm of travel and is fully adjustable for compression, rebound, and preload. The suspension units offer useful adjustment for setup and rider weight.

Dunlop Sportmax Roadsmart IV tires are fitted in 120/70 ZR19 front and 180/55 ZR17 rear sizes. They are sport-touring tires with a broad operating range rather than the Del Mar’s flat-track-oriented DT-1 rubber. The 180-section rear gives the Mulholland visual substance and is more practical for European road conditions than the Del Mar’s narrower tire. Lean angles of 55 degrees left and 50 degrees right are the highest figures in the S2 family. Despite its cruiser positioning, the Mulholland offers very good cornering clearance.

Charging and Range: 194 km in the City, 115 km at 88 km/h—the Best in the S2 Family

According to LiveWire’s official FAQ, the S2 Mulholland delivers the highest city-range figure in the S2 family: 194 km, compared with 181 km for the Del Mar and 193 km for the Alpinista. Combined range is 144 km, while constant 88 km/h highway-style operation yields 115 km. Level 1 charging from a household outlet takes 9.1 hours from zero to 100 percent. Level 2 AC charging takes around 78 minutes from 20 to 80 percent. As with all S2 models, CCS2 DC fast charging is not available.

Recall Note: Certain Production Batches Affected by Possible Power Loss

LiveWire has recalled certain production batches of the S2 Mulholland and S2 Del Mar because of a possible sudden loss of power, potentially including complete motor shutdown. Owners have been asked to have affected motorcycles inspected by authorized workshops. Prospective buyers should ask the dealer to confirm the status of the specific motorcycle before purchase. At the source’s editorial deadline, it had not been conclusively confirmed whether MY2026 deliveries were affected.

Verdict

The S2 Mulholland is the most material-innovative model in the S2 family, and the 1000PS Top Award 2025 suggests that the concept also works dynamically. As a cruiser, it is the most relaxed S2. As a performance cruiser, it remains more active and road-focused than a traditional combustion cruiser. EUR 12,290 for ocean nylon, hemp composite, a silicone seat, Showa suspension, Brembo brakes, and 263 Nm makes a convincing package at this price point.

– Recall affecting certain batches: possible power loss or motor shutdown; confirm current status with dealer.

– No DC charging despite the broader-use ambitions of the cruiser concept.

– Brand uncertainty: low sales volume and service through the Harley-Davidson dealer network.

– Major depreciation since February 2025, down 37 percent, makes used-value forecasting difficult.
