2026 NIU NQiX 1000

The NQiX 1000 is NIU’s most powerful NQiX model: 15.5 kW peak output, 125 km/h top speed, and three removable 72V/28Ah battery packs delivering over 100 km range. Individual batteries charge in 1 to 1.5 hours, while the full system charges in around four hours. Standard features include Google Maps navigation via 5-inch TFT, NIU Link Crown interface, ABS, and traction control.

At the time of writing, the model is not yet available on the market. Launch is planned for the third quarter of 2026. The three-battery system offers greater charging flexibility but makes battery swapping more complex. Target riders are commuters looking for range, 125 km/h capability, and connectivity in a single scooter.

The NIU NQiX 500 is the less powerful sibling with 100 km/h top speed and lower entry price. Yamaha Neo’s and Honda EM1 e: are lighter and cheaper, but limited to 45 km/h. The Silence S01 offers similar performance at a comparable price but has limited availability in Germany.
