2026 NIU RQi Sport

The RQi Sport is NIU’s first full electric motorcycle — one of the few A1-class naked bikes with removable batteries. With 7.5 kW continuous output and Ultraboost mode, it can briefly reach up to 126 km/h. Two 72V/36Ah battery packs (total 5.2 kWh) can be removed without tools and charged at home. A single battery charges in around four hours. Brembo four-piston caliper, Pirelli tires, and traction control are standard.

At 186 kg, the RQi sits above the average weight of the 125 class. The suspension is non-adjustable and transmits road imperfections clearly. There is no CCS fast charging — charging is limited to household outlets, with both batteries requiring around seven hours. Target riders are tech-focused commuters with private parking and A1 license.

The Kawasaki Z e-1 and Ninja e-1 are lighter and cheaper but offer less range. The Honda WN7 delivers significantly more power and CCS2 fast charging but costs more than twice as much. The Can-Am Pulse is more powerful and supports fast charging but is also positioned at a higher price level.
