2026 Peugeot Metropolis Active

The Metropolis Active is the entry model in Peugeot’s three-wheel lineup, produced at the French plant in Mandeure. The 399 cc single-cylinder producing 36 hp is sufficient for city and country-road riding. The anti-tilting system locks the front axle when stationary. Standard features include LED lighting, keyless system, SBC combined braking, and an adjustable windscreen. It can be ridden from age 21 with a Class B license.

Compared to the GT and SW, the Active omits i-Connect navigation and adjustable rear suspension. At 280 kg, the Metropolis is heavy, and its storage compartment fits only one helmet. Smartphone connectivity is not available. The model targets urban commuters who want to combine three-wheel stability with scooter agility without needing a motorcycle license.

In the three-wheel segment, the Metropolis competes with the Kymco CV3 575: significantly more powerful, but also more expensive and heavier. The Piaggio MP3 530 offers more engine performance but is priced higher. The Yamaha Tricity 300 is cheaper and lighter, but with 28 hp less powerful.
