2026 SWM SM 500 R

The SM 500 R remains a deliberately simple supermoto concept: large single-cylinder engine, minimal equipment, and clear ergonomics. On paper, its 34 hp may seem modest, but in practice it shines through torque, control, and extremely direct handling. It turns easily, remains stable under braking, and rewards an active riding style.

Compared to the KTM 390 SMC R or Suzuki DR-Z4SM, it offers more displacement and stronger midrange performance but lacks modern electronics and comfort features.

Compared to larger models like the KTM 690 SMC R or Husqvarna 701, it has less power but is more accessible and affordable.
