The Triumph Scrambler 400 X is a scrambler in the best sense: simple, agile, and with just the right level of ruggedness for everyday riding and weekend trips. On backroads, it impresses with neutral handling, strong stability, and a single-cylinder engine that responds lively while remaining easy to control. In the city, it benefits from compact dimensions, a relatively manageable seat height, and relaxed ergonomics.

On gravel, the 400 X remains composed as long as speeds stay moderate. It is not a hardcore off-road machine, but it is capable of much more than just visual appeal.

Compared to the Scrambler 400 XC, the X is the more purist and affordable version: lighter, more road-oriented, and easier to live with. The XC adds off-road equipment and protection, but also weight and cost.
