2026 Triumph Speed 400

Built in India in cooperation with Bajaj, the Speed 400 represents an accessible entry into Triumph’s classic lineup: slim, low, and immediately familiar. The 398 cc single responds cleanly, delivers surprisingly strong midrange torque, and revs willingly without becoming nervous. The riding experience matches this character: light turn-in, stable cornering, and braking that is strong but not overwhelming.

Direct competitors include the KTM 390 Duke, Husqvarna Svartpilen 401, and Kawasaki Z500. The KTM is sharper and more aggressive but rougher. The Husqvarna is lighter but more niche in styling. The Kawasaki is practical but less classic in feel.

Within the 400 lineup, the Speed is the road-focused counterpart to the Scrambler 400 X.
