The new Trident 800 fills the gap between the 660 and the more aggressive triple models: more power and presence without forcing riders into extreme ergonomics. The 798 cc triple responds instantly, delivers strong midrange torque, and builds into a distinctive high-revving triple character. The chassis remains agile, stable, and sporty without becoming harsh on poor roads.

Direct competitors include Yamaha MT-09, Kawasaki Z900, and Suzuki GSX-8S. The Yamaha is powerful but more expensive. The Kawasaki delivers strong performance but lacks triple character. The Suzuki is more affordable and practical but less distinctive.

Within the lineup, the Trident 800 sits clearly above the Trident 660, offering more performance, technology, and a stronger big-bike feel.
