2026 Yamaha MT-07

The MT-07 is the bike for riders who want maximum riding fun without unnecessary complexity. The 689 cc CP2 twin responds instantly, delivers strong midrange torque, and feels pleasantly mechanical—exactly right for twisty backroads and everyday riding. The chassis is extremely agile: light turn-in, clear feedback, and enough stability when pace increases.

Direct competitors include the Kawasaki Z650, Honda CB750 Hornet, and Triumph Trident 660. The Hornet is stronger at the top but feels less smooth. The Trident feels very refined and premium but has less punch. The Z650 remains a lively fun machine for the price.

Within Yamaha’s lineup, the MT-07 is the more agile counterpart to the more touring-oriented Tracer 7.
