2026 Yamaha MT-07 Y-AMT

The MT-07 Y-AMT is aimed at riders who love the CP2 punch but want less clutch work in everyday riding. You can shift manually via a rocker switch on the handlebar or ride fully automatically—and thanks to cruise control, highway riding becomes significantly more comfortable. The 689 cc twin responds cleanly, delivers strong midrange drive, and remains very easy to modulate.

Direct competitors include the Honda CB750 Hornet, Triumph Trident 660, and Kawasaki Z650. The Honda revs more freely at the top but feels less punchy in the midrange. The Triumph runs very smoothly and feels high-quality, but lacks low-end drive. The Kawasaki is uncomplicated, but not as torque-rich.

Compared to the standard MT-07, the character remains unchanged—the Y-AMT mainly adds comfort without noticeably increasing weight.
