The R6 Race is Yamaha’s pure track version of the legendary 600 cc supersport and is aimed at riders who value precision and high-revving performance. The 599 cc inline-four responds cleanly, revs extremely eagerly, and rewards high rpm with linear acceleration—perfect for building corner speed and accelerating cleanly out of turns.

In terms of handling, it impresses with neutral turn-in, strong stability under hard braking, and a very clear front-end feel. The ergonomics are compact and aggressive, the suspension is firm, and the brakes offer transparent feedback, allowing repeatable braking points.

Compared to torque-heavy twin-cylinder bikes, it lacks low-end punch but compensates with lightness, precision, and excellent controllability at the limit—ideal for trackdays, training, and racing use.
