2026 Yamaha Ténéré 700 Rally

The Ténéré 700 Rally is the sharper interpretation of the €1,200 cheaper base T7 concept: still deliberately robust and simple, but with a clear off-road priority. The 689 cc twin delivers linear power and remains predictable thanks to its well-modulated throttle response, even on loose surfaces.

The key difference lies in the suspension: 230 mm at the front and 220 mm at the rear provide noticeably more ground clearance and safety reserves, but the 910 mm seat height requires long legs. Compared to the standard Ténéré 700, the Rally feels taller, firmer, and more capable off-road, while the base version remains more accessible in everyday use.

Compared to the World Raid, the Rally differs technically through its smaller 16-liter tank and lower weight; the World Raid, with its 23 liters, IMU-based electronics, and greater touring comfort, is clearly focused on long-distance riding. Competitors include the Aprilia Tuareg 660, Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE, and KTM 790 Adventure.
