2026 Yamaha Tracer 7 GT Y-AMT

The new Tracer 7 GT Y-AMT expands the proven GT concept with Yamaha’s automated transmission system. The 689 cc twin remains the familiar, flexible core with 73 hp, but the riding experience changes noticeably: shifting can be fully automatic or manually controlled via a rocker switch on the handlebar, eliminating clutch operation entirely. This fits the touring-oriented concept with luggage, taller windscreen, and heated grips.

Compared to the standard Tracer 7, the GT Y-AMT is clearly more travel-focused. Compared to the Tracer 7 GT, it adds additional comfort in stop-and-go traffic and on long rides, at the cost of slightly more weight and higher price.

Against competitors such as the BMW F 900 XR, Triumph Tiger Sport 660, and Kawasaki Versys 650, the Yamaha stands out with its automated transmission and practical usability, while rivals may offer more peak power or sportier chassis setups.
