2026 Zero DS

The Zero DS is the dual-sport version of the Zero S: same motor, same 15.6 kWh battery, but with longer suspension travel, more ground clearance, and an enduro-style riding position. With 11 kW continuous output, it qualifies for A1 and B196 licenses. A strong 44 kW (60 hp) peak output and 132 Nm are available during acceleration. Zero has not yet published an official WMTC range.

Charging time is around 9.3 hours via the standard 3.3 kW charger. A 6 kW fast charger is available as an option. At 239 kg, the DS is heavy for a dual-sport motorcycle, and true off-road riding remains largely theoretical. The 19/17-inch wheel setup is suitable for gravel roads. The target group consists of B196 riders looking for a versatile electric touring motorcycle.

The Zero S is available for around €1,000 less and is sufficient for riders without off-road ambitions. The Can-Am Origin targets a similar B196 audience with stronger off-road focus and lower weight. The Zero DSR offers A2-level performance but costs significantly more.
