Review Harley-Davidson CVO Street Glide 3 Limited (2026)

The Most Luxurious Trike—Redesigned Rear Suspension, New Reverse System

The “3” in the name stands for three wheels: the CVO Street Glide 3 Limited is Harley-Davidson’s flagship trike in the CVO lineup. Brand-new for 2026: a completely redesigned rear suspension and a new electric reverse system without an electric motor on the rear axle—lighter, more precise. Milwaukee-Eight VVT 121; 117 hp; 182 Nm. 12.3-inch TFT touchscreen with Skyline OS, wireless Apple CarPlay, Over-the-Air updates. Stage II Audio with four channels. CVO paint schemes. Heated seat. From €59,900 plus €1,260 trike transportation/setup.

As of: July 17, 2026 | Model: Harley-Davidson CVO Street Glide 3 Limited (FLHLTSE; 2026; trike; Milwaukee-Eight VVT 121; Touring; full motorcycle license) | Manufacturer: Harley-Davidson Motor Company, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA | Price in Germany: from €59,900 plus €1,260 trike transportation/setup; total price approx. €61,160 | Stationary noise: not published | Warranty: 4 years, 2-year manufacturer warranty + 2-year extended warranty

Three wheels. That is the concept that separates the CVO Street Glide 3 Limited from everything else in this test series. No other motorcycle here has a pair of rear wheels. No other motorcycle here weighs anything close to this much. And no other motorcycle here is aimed at riders looking for a category somewhere between motorcycle touring and automotive touring comfort.

Harley-Davidson Düsseldorf: “The 2026 CVO Street Glide 3 Limited redefines touring on three wheels.” That is the proposition. For 2026, Harley-Davidson has delivered two specific improvements to support it: a completely redesigned rear suspension and a completely revised reverse system. Both address two of the biggest criticisms of the previous trikes.

New for 2026 No. 1: Completely Redesigned Rear Suspension

The rear suspension of the 2026 trike lineup is brand-new. Harley-Davidson describes it as a completely redesigned rear suspension system. A test rider in Harley-Davidson Düsseldorf’s road report says: “I’ve been riding trikes for many years, and this new suspension finally delivers everything I’ve always been looking for.”

Details of the new suspension include a cornering-optimized rider-assistance system and revised geometry. A dealer test ride is recommended for a direct comparison with the previous model.

New for 2026 No. 2: New Electric Reverse System

The previous model used an electric motor on the rear axle to provide reverse. For 2026, that motor is gone. Harley-Davidson Düsseldorf: “Eliminating the heavy electric motor on the rear axle reduced weight and made operation easier.”

The new system is simpler, more precise, and quicker to operate when space gets tight. This is not merely a comfort upgrade. It is an everyday-usability upgrade: repositioning the trike, parking it in the garage, backing out of a parking space—all of that is now easier.

Milwaukee-Eight VVT 121: 117 hp With Variable Valve Timing

1,923 cc—121 cubic inches. 45-degree V-twin. Variable Valve Timing, VVT. That is the difference from the Milwaukee-Eight 121 HO in the CVO Road Glide ST. The VVT engine uses variable valve timing to optimize power delivery throughout the entire rev range.

Harley-Davidson Düsseldorf: “Strong torque in every gear with maximum flexibility—made for demanding mountain roads, confident passing maneuvers, and long-distance rides with a passenger and luggage.”

Output is 117 hp (86 kW) at 5,020 rpm and 182 Nm at 3,500 rpm. That is the torque profile of a touring engine: not about revs, but about pulling power. For a vehicle traveling with a full Grand Tour-Pak, passenger, luggage, and its own substantial weight, it is exactly the right approach.

12.3-Inch TFT, Skyline OS, Apple CarPlay, Over-the-Air

A 12.3-inch TFT touchscreen. Skyline OS. Integrated navigation. Wireless Apple CarPlay. Over-the-Air updates. This is the infotainment system that puts the 2026 CVO 3 Limited into the category of motorcycles technologically capable of keeping pace with modern premium automobiles.

Over-the-Air updates mean software improvements and new functions can be delivered to the motorcycle through the network without requiring a dealer visit.

Stage II Audio uses a four-channel amplifier with speakers in the fairing, Tour-Pak, and lower fairing sections. Harley-Davidson Düsseldorf describes it as “concert-like sound that overpowers wind and other noise.”

CVO Paint Schemes, Grand Tour-Pak, Heated Seat

Six new CVO paint schemes are available for 2026, exclusive to CVO models, with metallic gradients, precision pinstriping, and PVD coatings.

The completely redesigned Grand Tour-Pak provides 136 liters of total storage capacity on the CVO Street Glide Limited, with comparable capacity on the trike model. A heated seat comes standard.

This is the equipment level where the distinction between a premium motorcycle offering and a premium automobile offering begins to become rather less obvious.

From €59,900: An Expensive Vehicle

From €59,900 MSRP ex-factory. Add €1,260 for trike transportation and setup, bringing the total to approximately €61,160. This is one of the most expensive machines on the market.

For €61,160, however, there is substantial equipment in return: Milwaukee-Eight VVT 121, new rear suspension, new reverse system, 12.3-inch TFT, Skyline OS, Apple CarPlay, OTA updates, Stage II Audio, CVO paintwork, heated seat, Grand Tour-Pak, and a four-year warranty.

That is the package.

Verdict

The 2026 Harley-Davidson CVO Street Glide 3 Limited is the most expensive and comfortable vehicle in this test series: trike, Milwaukee-Eight VVT 121, 117 hp, 182 Nm, completely redesigned rear suspension, new electric reverse system without a rear-axle electric motor, 12.3-inch TFT, Skyline OS, Apple CarPlay, OTA updates, Stage II Audio, CVO paintwork, heated seat, and a four-year warranty.

From €59,900 plus €1,260. For riders who want three-wheel touring at the highest available equipment level.
