Review Indian Super Scout (2026)
111 hp, Wire-Spoke Wheels, Factory Saddlebags + Windshield + Passenger Seat—the Most Travel-Ready Scout in the Family
The Super Scout is the only model in the 1,250 cc Scout family that comes from the factory with saddlebags, a windshield, and passenger accommodations. Add to that 111 hp—the same output as the 101 Scout—and wire-spoke wheels like the Scout Classic. The Super Scout is the most travel-ready Scout without premium suspension.
As of: May 1, 2026 | Model: Indian Super Scout (2026; new for 2026: new colors; technically identical to 2025) | Manufacturer: Indian Motorcycle, Minneapolis, MN, USA; Carolwood LP | European distribution: Indian Motorcycle Europe | Price in Germany: €18,990 | Warranty: 2-year manufacturer warranty with unlimited mileage | Stationary noise: 91 dB(A), Tyrol-compliant
The Super Scout in the Scout Family: Full Equipment Without Premium Suspension
The 1,250 cc Scout family has a model for every requirement: the 101 Scout with premium suspension and Brembo brakes, the Scout Classic with classic styling and wire-spoke wheels at a lower price, the Scout Bobber with lowered suspension and an all-black finish, and the Sport Scout with sportier geometry. The Super Scout is the only model in the family that comes with saddlebags, a windshield, and passenger accommodations from the factory. This is not merely an equipment upgrade; it is a different concept. The Super Scout is designed for travel and two-up riding from the outset, with no accessory calculations required.
With 111 hp, the Super Scout shares the highest engine output in the 1,250 cc family with the 101 Scout, which also makes 111 hp. Compared with the Scout Classic and Sport Scout at 105 hp, the Super Scout gets the stronger engine tune despite using the same SpeedPlus 1250 architecture.
What’s New for 2026
The 2026 Super Scout update is cosmetic: new color options and revised graphics. Technically, it is identical to the 2025 model.
Engine: SpeedPlus 1250 With 111 hp
1,250 cc, liquid-cooled, 60-degree V-twin, 111 hp, 111 Nm at 6,300 rpm, six-speed transmission, belt final drive, Euro 5, and restrictable for A2 use. In Super Scout tune, the SpeedPlus 1250 is calibrated for maximum output—the same power figure as the 101 Scout, the sportiest model in the family. In real-world riding, 111 hp in a 268 kg motorcycle delivers a very good power-to-weight ratio. Fuel consumption is approximately 5.0 L/100 km; the 13.0-liter tank provides around 250 km of range.
Chassis and Brakes
Up front is a 41 mm telescopic fork with 120 mm of travel. At the rear are twin shocks with 76 mm of travel and adjustable spring preload. The suspension is the same basic setup used by the Scout Classic, Scout Bobber, and Sport Scout—no USD fork and no adjustable piggyback shocks. If you want premium suspension, buy the 101 Scout. The brakes follow the same philosophy: a 298 mm semi-floating front disc with a two-piston caliper, a 298 mm rear disc with a single-piston caliper, and ABS as standard.
Ergonomics: 680 mm, Passenger Setup From the Factory, Windshield
Seat height is 680 mm and wheelbase 1,562 mm. A passenger seat and passenger footpegs come fitted as standard, making the Super Scout the only model in the 1,250 cc Scout family equipped for two-up riding from the factory. The quick-release windshield provides noticeable wind protection on long highway stretches and can be removed in seconds when you want to ride without it. The combination of windshield, passenger setup, and luggage makes the Super Scout the most travel-ready Scout in the entire family—without requiring accessory purchases.
Wire-Spoke Wheels and Tires
The Super Scout uses wire-spoke wheels like the Scout Classic, measuring 16 inches front and rear, with Pirelli Night Dragon tires. Within the 1,250 cc family, wire-spoke wheels are a shared feature of the Scout Classic and Super Scout, while the Scout Bobber and Sport Scout use cast wheels. For longer trips, tubeless tires provide a practical advantage: in the event of a puncture, they can be repaired roadside with a standard plug kit without removing the tire.
Equipment: Saddlebags, Windshield, Passenger Seat—All From the Factory
Standard Super Scout equipment includes quick-release saddlebags, with volume to be confirmed by the importer, a quick-release windshield, passenger seat, passenger footpegs, ABS, traction control, riding modes, cruise control, keyless ignition, a digital display, USB, and RIDE COMMAND+ telematics. The 4-inch RIDE COMMAND display with GPS and Bluetooth is also included as standard. Unlike several other Scout models, the Super Scout does not require a trim-package upgrade to get it.
This is the Scout Indian positions for riders who do not want to buy a motorcycle and then configure accessories afterward. Saddlebags, windshield, passenger accommodations, navigation—everything is already installed when you buy it.
Price and Positioning
Prices start at €18,990 with a two-year warranty. That is more than the Scout Classic at approximately €15,690 and exactly the same as the 101 Scout at €18,990. The Super Scout-versus-101 Scout comparison is therefore the decisive buying question. The 101 Scout has dual-disc Brembo front brakes, a fully adjustable USD fork, and adjustable piggyback shocks—but no saddlebags, windshield, or passenger setup from the factory.
If you need the premium chassis, buy the 101 Scout. If you would rather buy a travel-ready motorcycle from the factory and consider the standard suspension sufficient, buy the Super Scout.
Verdict
The 2026 Indian Super Scout is the right Scout for riders who want to buy a motorcycle today and leave on a trip tomorrow. 111 hp, saddlebags, windshield, passenger accommodations, wire-spoke wheels, RIDE COMMAND—all from the factory. If premium suspension matters more than touring preparation, buy the 101 Scout. If you prefer the classic look and the freedom to configure your own accessories, buy the Scout Classic.
Quick Check
+ 111 hp—the highest output in the 1,250 cc Scout family, shared with the 101 Scout; saddlebags + quick-release windshield + passenger seat + passenger footpegs standard; 4-inch RIDE COMMAND from the factory; wire-spoke wheels.

+ Quick-release saddlebags and windshield provide flexible configuration depending on the trip; tubeless wire-spoke wheel setup allows roadside puncture repair with a plug kit.
– No premium suspension: conventional telescopic fork and no piggyback shocks. For the same price, the 101 Scout offers dual-disc Brembo brakes and a fully adjustable USD fork.
– Only a 2-year warranty; 13.0-liter tank gives approx. 250 km range, so longer day stages require planned fuel stops.
– Confirm the 91 dB(A) stationary-noise figure with the importer for model year 2026; Indian’s dealer network in Germany is smaller than Harley-Davidson’s; the Scout Classic offers chrome and classic styling for less money.
– Two-piston front caliper is not as sharp as the 101 Scout’s four-piston Brembo setup; no quarter fairing like the Sport Scout or 101 Scout.
